Terms of Use
The rules for accessing SiliconJury, using accounts and comments, and understanding the limits of fictionalized AI-assisted editorial productions.
Last updated:
Acceptance and scope
These terms apply when you access or use the SiliconJury website, accounts, comments and related public services. By using the service, you agree to follow these terms. If you do not agree, do not create an account or continue using interactive features.
Additional terms or platform rules may apply when you follow a link to an external service. SiliconJury cannot change those third-party terms.
Nature of the service
SiliconJury publishes fictionalized, interpretive, AI-assisted debates for education, critical inquiry, cultural memory and creative discussion. Depicted individuals do not participate. Unless identified as verified quotations, attributed dialogue, reactions, arguments and jury decisions are generated or reconstructed.
The service may change, correct, restrict or discontinue features or content. Public availability does not promise that an episode, account feature or language edition will remain available indefinitely.
Accounts and account security
Provide accurate account information, keep credentials confidential and use only accounts you are authorized to use. You are responsible for activity reasonably attributable to your account until suspected compromise is reported. Do not attempt to bypass authentication, access controls or usage limits.
SiliconJury may require verification, reset credentials, restrict a session or suspend access when reasonably necessary to protect the service, other users or an investigation.
Acceptable use
- Do not use the service unlawfully or to violate another person’s copyright, trademark, privacy, image, voice, likeness or other rights.
- Do not impersonate another person, misrepresent authority or submit a knowingly false rights or correction notice.
- Do not harass, threaten, exploit or publish another person’s sensitive personal data.
- Do not introduce malware, probe vulnerabilities without authorization, evade rate limits or interfere with operation.
- Do not scrape, automate or reproduce the service in a way that overloads systems or breaches applicable restrictions.
- Do not remove disclosures or present reconstructed dialogue as an authentic historical statement.
Intellectual property and third-party rights
The service combines human-authored or directed production elements, AI-assisted material and third-party or public-domain sources. Rights are claimed only to the extent recognized by applicable law. Third-party owners retain their rights, and no absolute ownership claim is made over every AI-generated element.
You may link to public pages and use material where permission, a license or applicable law allows. These terms do not grant a right to exploit a person’s name, voice, image or likeness, or to suggest endorsement or affiliation. See the Rights, Copyright & Content Concerns Policy for details.
No participation, endorsement or affiliation
Unless expressly stated, SiliconJury is not acting for, authorized by, endorsed by, sponsored by or affiliated with a depicted person, family, estate, rights holder, employer, institution, foundation or university. The presence of a name, likeness or intellectual identity does not imply agreement with the production.
Reliance, accuracy and warranties
Reconstructions are selective and may contain omissions, simplifications, contested interpretations or errors. The service is not a substitute for original works, authoritative scholarship or professional legal, medical, financial or other advice.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the service is provided as available and without an absolute promise of uninterrupted access, completeness, accuracy or fitness for a particular purpose. Nothing in these terms excludes a warranty or right that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Responsibility and limits
You are responsible for how you use the service and for independently checking information before relying on it. To the extent permitted by applicable law, SiliconJury is not responsible for indirect or unforeseeable loss arising from use of or inability to use the service. This does not limit liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
Suspension and termination
Access may be restricted or terminated when reasonably necessary because of a material breach, security risk, abuse, legal requirement or service discontinuation. Measures should be proportionate to the risk and may be reviewed when relevant new information is supplied.
Applicable rules and disputes
These terms do not invent or select a governing law, court or registered business jurisdiction that has not been authoritatively configured. Mandatory laws may apply depending on your location, the publisher’s legally relevant establishment and the facts of a dispute.
Please use the monitored concern form first so a dispute can be identified and assessed. This does not prevent either party from using a right or remedy available under applicable law.
Changes and contact
Material changes to these terms will receive a new version and change-history entry. Continued use after updated terms take effect may constitute acceptance where applicable, but a change will not remove rights that cannot lawfully be waived.
Use the terms category in the monitored concern form for a question about these rules. Use the specialized privacy, rights, correction or accessibility category when that better describes the issue.
Comments and other submissions
You retain whatever rights you hold in a comment or submission. By submitting it for display or review, you give SiliconJury a non-exclusive permission to receive, store, reproduce and use it as reasonably needed to operate, moderate, investigate and respond to the submission. You must have the authority to provide the material.
SiliconJury may moderate, restrict or remove spam, abuse, unlawful material, irrelevant personal data or content that creates a credible safety or rights risk. A public comment is not a substitute for the monitored concern form.
